THE CHALLENGE

Tronox, headquartered in Oklahoma City, is the world’s third-largest producer and marketer of titanium dioxide pigment, a whitener and brightener used in paint, coatings, plastics, paper and hundreds of everyday products.  When Tronox became a publicly traded company in November 2005, it began searching for new office space for its headquarters.  At this time, Tronox considered various options for its data center operations, including locating its data center offsite with a third-party host.  The company turned to Perimeter Technology Center to fulfill its infrastructure needs.

Tronox realized that housing its critical IT infrastructure with Perimeter not only saved money, but also increased its flexibility in selecting a headquarters’ location because space for the data center was not a factor.
